Potter's Wheel Primer
Note: please contact the studio before registering as we are currently working through our waitlist to fill the September-October session of this class. Thanks! theo@greenriverpottery.com
This class surveys the basics of working on the wheel. An easygoing, yet thorough, introduction to clay & the clay studio. We’ll cover preparing your clay, centering & throwing on the wheel, making lids & handles for your pieces, and, of course, glazing your work too.
A great class if you’re just beginning & making your first-ever pieces in the studio. And, if you have some experience, the class offers independence to develop a personal project you can work on with guidance from a teacher.
The class will meet in the HQ studio, working with cone 10 stoneware clay, firing your pieces in the gas kiln. Enrollment in the class also provides access to our worktime calendar to plan your independent work sessions through the week & weekend.
Tuesdays 10am - 12pm September 3 - October 22
Teacher: Theo
Cost: $425 includes 8 classes, clay, glaze, firing. There are no makeup sessions for this class
Limit: 8 students
Note: by placing your order for this class, you're consenting to our Participation Guidelines & Liability Release form. Please take a moment to review this form before signing up. Thank you!
